Visitors and Parents' Night Out

This week was extra great because Figgy came in town on Thursday and the Gilberts came in town on Saturday!  Though their visits did not overlap, we had a wildly fun time with both.  Figgy was able to babysit the babe while Pete and I hit the town on Friday night -- the latest we've been out since Susannah was born!  One of our friends is in a band, so a group of us went to see him play; and the show didn't begin until 10:00.  Needless to say, we made it to bed at about 2am that night.  But it was a lot of fun and a much-needed outing for us homebody parents.

The Gilberts' visit was particularly fun because Susannah is obsessed with her cousins!  She loves watching the big girls play and is enamored with Baby Nathanael.  She very much enjoys the company of other kids and babies, especially ones who are as fun-loving as those four.  We are so thankful to live relatively close to them so day trips are always an option!

We are in Harrisonburg for the rest of the week and are excited about more family time.  Pete has a conference close by, so it works out that Susannah and I can go, too.

Pictures!

Susannah was introduced to a baby bunny, and this is how much she liked it.

Before our night out.  Look at that baby girl's smirk!

I hope there weren't any recipes in those magazines that you can't find online....

"Hey, give me that phone!"

Shoey loved having Charis crawl into bed with her after her nap!

Look at that handsome Nathanael!

Snuggling with the girlies.  Hannie is passed out.

A regular bookworm, eating all the pages.

Somebody was snuggling with Daddy and got caught in the act!
